Album Review: Brent Faiyaz Formally Introduces Himself to the World with Debut Album “Sonder Son”

On October 13th, Brent Faiyaz one-third of the internet formed production-artist trio Sonder, released his solo debut project, Sonder Son. For many, their initial encounter with Faiyaz was during the December release of rapper Goldlink’s “Crew”, or Sonder’s EP Into, which was released early this year in February.     Sonder Son is the personal thoughts, journeys and introspective thoughts of Brent thus far. Songs like “Home” and “Gang Over Luv” are the backstory of Brent’s younger life, where music, the chasing of girls and hanging out with friends were far more important than good grades and homework. Majid Jordan release their new album, ‘The Space Between’

Canadian based duo Majid Jordan release their new 13-track LP, The Space Between under Waner Bros. & OVO Sound. Both Majid and Jordan each demonstrate a great performance, especially in orchestrating quite a unique and contemporary take on their R&B sound. The Space Between features their previously released singles, "Phases" and "One I Want", featuring label counterpart PartyNextDoor.   Great production and Majid Jordan's stamped sound ultimately make The Space Between a solid effort from the two and is definitely a step in the right direction. This new project gives me 90's R&B vibes and is likely a big source of inspiration behind the love-interest related tracks. Stream the new album in full down in the player below.     ...

Danger Incorporated: Birds Fly By Night

Atlanta’s favorite Danger Boys: Louie Duffelbags & Boothlord have just announced their debut album Birds Fly By Night, a 9 track EP just in time for Halloween season. This album marks the follow up to the ATL duo's spooky discography including their SoundCloud introduction Are You Afraid Of The Danger Boys? and World Wide Web which was revealed on October 31st last year.   The album's single 'Ashley Olsen' has racked up over 20k plays and pays homage to Olsen twins in an alternative R&B kind of way. This is the most vulnerable we've seen Danger on any of their projects. On the track 'Change Me' Louie Dufflebags yearns to the listener that "they don't know what to think of me" and that is exactly the kind of reception they've...
